Dr. Michael Weinberg, Ph.D., BCBA-D

Dr. Michael Weinberg, PhD, BCBA-D, LP, LABA, DABFE, is a licensed psychologist, board-certified behavior analyst at the doctoral level, educator, consultant, and administrator with more than 40 years of experience in applied behavior analysis, psychology, and human services. He earned his master’s and doctoral degrees in psychology with a specialization in experimental and applied behavior analysis from Temple University and has been a BCBA since the inception of the certification credential.

Throughout his career, Dr. Weinberg has held leadership positions across clinical, educational, and community-based service systems, including serving as Vice President of Professional Development and Assessment at Amego, Clinical Director for multiple behavioral health organizations, and founder and owner of organizations providing behavior analytic services, professional training, and continuing education. His work has focused on assessment, treatment planning, staff development, clinical supervision, autism services, behavioral intervention, and the advancement of evidence-based practices across a wide range of service settings.

At Martinsburg College, Dr. Weinberg provides strategic oversight for program development, curriculum quality, faculty support, and academic standards across the college’s ABA offerings. He works closely with faculty, instructional designers, and academic leadership to ensure that coursework reflects current research, professional standards, and best practices in behavior analysis. He remains actively engaged in teaching and mentoring students and is committed to preparing future behavior analysts to deliver ethical, effective, and compassionate services.

Dr. Kristin Mayfield, Ph.D., BCBA-D

Dr. Kristin H. Mayfield, PhD, BCBA-D, is a licensed board-certified behavior analyst at the doctoral level, educator, instructional designer, and researcher with more than 25 years of experience in applied behavior analysis, education, curriculum development, and instructional technology. She earned her master’s and doctoral degrees in psychology with a specialization in behavior analysis and instructional design from West Virginia University and has been a Board-Certified Behavior Analyst at the doctoral level since 2003.

Dr. Mayfield has held faculty, research, and clinical positions at institutions including the University of Florida, Hamilton College, the University of North Carolina Asheville, and Martinsburg College. She has taught courses in behavior analysis, psychology, mathematics, education, and instructional design across both traditional and online learning environments. She has extensive experience developing curriculum, designing instructional materials, conducting educational research, and evaluating the effectiveness of behavioral and academic interventions.

At Martinsburg College, Dr. Mayfield provides leadership for curriculum development, faculty support, program quality, and continuous improvement initiatives. She collaborates with subject matter experts, instructional designers, and faculty to develop and maintain graduate-level coursework that reflects current research, professional standards, and industry expectations. She also works with students to help resolve academic concerns and support their success throughout the program.

Dr. Joseph Dixon, Ed.D., BCBA

Dr. Joseph Dixon, EdD, BCBA, is a behavior analyst, educator, and educational leader with extensive experience in applied behavior analysis, special education, school administration, and clinical service delivery. He earned his Doctor of Education in curriculum and instruction with a specialization in special education from Liberty University and has been a board-certified behavior analyst since 2013.

Dr. Dixon has served in leadership roles across educational and clinical settings, including Director of Related Services, Elementary School Principal, Behavior Program Administrator, Autism Center Director, Clinical Director, and Behavior Analyst. His work has focused on developing evidence-based systems of support, improving student outcomes, reducing behavioral crises, training educators and clinicians, and leading multidisciplinary teams.

At Martinsburg College, Dr. Dixon teaches graduate-level coursework, provides individualized support and feedback to students, and contributes to the ongoing development and quality of the curriculum. He is passionate about preparing future behavior analysts to apply evidence-based practices ethically and effectively across educational, clinical, and community settings.

Adjunct Faculty

Dr. Sophia Liu, Ph.D., BCBA

Dr. Liu is a Board-Certified Behavior Analyst and holds a Ph.D. in industrial and organizational psychology from the California School of Professional Psychology. With more than two decades of experience in behavioral health, education, and organizational consulting, she brings a multidisciplinary approach to teaching and practice. Her areas of expertise include functional behavior assessment, instructional design, early intervention, crisis response, and culturally responsive behavior support.

Dr. Kristy Johnson, Ed.D., BCBA

Dr. Johnson holds degrees and credentials in elementary, special, and early childhood education; instructional practices; applied behavior analysis; and higher education. She has taught online at the graduate and doctoral levels since 2018 and has worked in school-based behavior analytic services since 2003. Her experience includes autism and early intervention, functional behavior assessment, behavior intervention planning, verbal behavior, social skills training, parent and staff training, school consultation, performance management, adaptive and executive functioning skills, and Positive Behavior Interventions and Supports.

Dr. Brea Furman, DBH, BCBA

Dr. Furman is a BCBA with a Doctorate in Behavioral Health Management from Arizona State University and more than a decade of experience across clinical, residential, and school-based settings. She currently works in a school district outside Phoenix, Arizona, and leads an ABA parent training clinic serving families on the Navajo Nation. Her interests include culturally responsive practice, caregiver training, residential treatment, integrated healthcare, classroom interventions, autism spectrum disorder, ADHD, Prader-Willi syndrome, traumatic brain injury, and vocational skills.

Dr. Megan Keating, Ph.D., BCBA

Dr. Keating holds a PhD in psychology and is a BCBA with more than 10 years of experience in applied behavior analysis. Her professional background spans school settings, clinical programs, and specialized environments serving individuals with autism and significant support needs. She specializes in data-driven behavior intervention planning, consultation, training, functional behavior assessment, progress monitoring, interdisciplinary collaboration, and support for individuals with sensory impairments.

Dr. Clara Kenny, Ed.D., BCBA

Dr. Clara Kenny, EdD, BCBA, is a licensed board-certified behavior analyst, educator, and consultant with more than 15 years of experience in applied behavior analysis, special education, and professional development. She serves as the Clinical Director of Behavior Backup and teaches graduate-level courses in applied behavior analysis, assessment, intervention, and verbal behavior. Her areas of expertise include functional behavior assessment, behavior intervention planning, verbal behavior, educator training, and supervision of aspiring behavior analysts.

Dr. Jamie Rassin, Ed.D., BCBA

Dr. Rassin has worked in special education and applied behavior analysis for more than 25 years. She has extensive experience as a BCBA across home, school, and clinical settings and has taught in online graduate programs for the past eight years. Her areas of experience include autism and early intervention, verbal behavior, natural environment teaching, discrete trial instruction, adolescent transition planning, caregiver training, social skills interventions, functional behavior assessment, behavior intervention plans, functional communication training, classroom-based ABA, school consultation, crisis prevention, data collection, telehealth service delivery, executive functioning skills, behavior skills training, and trauma-informed ABA practices.

Dr. Jesse Santana, PsyD, BCBA

Dr. Santana is a credentialed school psychologist and Board Certified Behavior Analyst with extensive experience conducting functional behavioral assessments, designing behavior intervention plans, and supporting students with complex behavioral and learning needs across K–12 settings. He provides district-wide behavioral consultation, manages high-intensity behavior cases, and collaborates with multidisciplinary teams to implement evidence-based interventions. His research interests focus on improving school-based ABA service delivery, equity in special education, and ethically grounded behavioral supports within educational settings.
